Welcome to The Bucket Foundation. By accessing or using thebucketfoundation.org (the “Site”) or making a donation, you agree to these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or make a donation.
2. About The Bucket Foundation
The Bucket Foundation is a nonprofit organization founded by Sofia Calvin. Our mission is to create pathways for young adults in Tanzania to access education and careers within the travel and tourism industry, so they can build sustainable economic impact within their own communities. Every drop fills the bucket.
3. Donations
Authorization
When you make a donation through the Site, you authorize The Bucket Foundation to charge the payment method you provide for the amount selected. Donations are processed by Stripe, an independent third-party payment processor. We do not store your full payment card number or CVC on our servers.
How donations are used
Donations support our charitable mission, including: student tuition, on-campus housing, meals, uniforms, books and supplies, medical care, partner-school coordination, and program operations. We reserve the right to allocate donations where they are most needed to advance the mission.
Refunds
Donations are generally non-refundable. If you believe a donation was made in error or fraudulently, please contact us at [email protected] within 30 days of the transaction and we will review the request in good faith.
Tax deductibility
Donations may be tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law in your jurisdiction. The Bucket Foundation does not provide tax or legal advice. Please consult a qualified tax advisor regarding the deductibility of your contribution.
Recurring donations
If recurring donations are offered, you may cancel a recurring donation at any time by emailing [email protected]. Cancellations apply to future charges only.
4. Use of the Site
You agree not to:
- Use the Site for any unlawful purpose;
- Attempt to interfere with the Site’s operation, security, or other users’ access;
- Misrepresent your identity or impersonate any person or organization;
- Use automated tools to scrape, harvest, or collect data from the Site without our written permission.
5. Submissions and Communications
When you submit information through our “Get Involved” form, email us, or otherwise contact us, you give us permission to use that information to respond to you, evaluate partnership opportunities, and (with your consent where required by law) send you updates about the foundation’s work. 6. Intellectual Property
All content on the Site — including text, graphics, logos, photographs, and the “Every drop fills the bucket” tagline — is the property of The Bucket Foundation or its licensors and is protected by copyright and trademark laws. You may share content on social media with proper attribution, but you may not reproduce, distribute, or use it commercially without written permission.
7. Third-Party Sites and Services
The Site may link to or rely on third-party websites and services, including Storied Travel, SofiaCalvin.com, Stripe, GoHighLevel, and social platforms. We are not responsible for the content, terms, or privacy practices of those third parties. Your use of them is governed by their own terms.
8. No Guarantee of Outcomes
We work hard to support every student we sponsor, but The Bucket Foundation makes no promise or guarantee regarding the educational or career outcomes of any specific student. Donations support the program as a whole rather than any individual’s guaranteed result.
9. Disclaimers
The Site and its contents are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Bucket Foundation, its officers, directors, employees, volunteers, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Site or your donations, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the state of registration of The Bucket Foundation, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. (Your legal counsel will confirm the exact governing law and venue before publication.)
